Link exchange without the chasing.

Trade links, guest posts and tool listings with sites you can check first. Every deal has a deadline and reminders, our crawler confirms both links, and the deal completes itself when both are found.

Free to use, no credit card. Partners see your record before they accept, and you see theirs.

How a deal works

Both sides follow the same steps, and every step has a date. Here's the deal above, from the first request to complete.

  1. 1
    You

    You send a request

Pick a partner, say which page you'll link from and what you'd like in return. If there's no answer, they get reminders on day 3 and day 7, and the request expires after 14 days.

  2. 2
    growthnotes.co

    They accept

Straight from the email. Both sides then see the same deal and one deadline: the partner's turnaround, or 7 days if they haven't set one.

Accepted Oct 5, due Oct 12

  3. 3
    You

You place your link and paste the URL

The crawler opens the page right away and checks the link, the anchor text, the rel and whether Google can index the page.

    Live since Oct 5

  4. 4
    growthnotes.co

    They place theirs

Swappsy looks for it every day and reminds them 3 days before the deadline. If they send you the page first, paste it and it's checked on the spot.

    Pending, reminder on Oct 9

  5. 5
    Both of you

    The deal completes itself

When both links are found, the deal closes, both sides earn points and both links are checked every day from then on. If either one breaks, you both get an email.

Four ways to trade links

Every kind of deal follows the same steps and gets the same checks. Pick the one that fits the page you have.

  • Direct swap

You link to their page from one of yours, and they link back from one of theirs. It works best between sites in the same niche, where each link helps a reader.

For example, acme-crm.com links to a CRM guide on growthnotes.co, and growthnotes.co adds Acme to its CRM roundup.

  • Content collab

Swap guest posts or write for each other's blogs. Each article carries the link both sides agreed on, and the crawler checks it like any other.

For example, marketerdigest.com is writing an email outreach guide that links to acme-crm.com.

  • Tool listing

Get listed in roundups and list others in yours. Made for software and SaaS sites with “best tools” and comparison pages.

For example, northbeam.io is adding startupstack.io to its best startup tools post.

3-way exchange

Three sites, three links, in a loop: A links to B, B links to C, and C links to A. No two sites link to each other, so none of the links is reciprocal.

  1. acme-crm.comlinks togrowthnotes.co
  2. growthnotes.colinks todevtoolsdaily.com
  3. devtoolsdaily.comlinks toacme-crm.com

When three sites' offers fit together, Swappsy suggests the loop. Each site places one link, and the exchange completes when the crawler has found all three.

Deadlines, points and a record partners can see

A swap only works if both links go up and stay up. Every deal runs on a deadline, and how each side handled it becomes part of their record.

What a partner sees before accepting your request, and what you see about them. Counted from links the crawler found and ratings left after completed deals.

Is link exchange against Google's guidelines?

Google's spam policies name excessive link exchanges, the “link to me and I'll link to you” kind, as a link scheme. Google can ignore links like that, and a site that leans on them can be penalized. A few relevant links between related sites are a normal part of the web, and that's what Swappsy is built for: partners in your niche, 3-way exchanges where no two sites link to each other, and links placed inside real articles. Swappsy shows each site's verified Google clicks, completed deals and links still live, so you can judge it before you link to it. None of this makes a link risk-free, and no platform can promise that.

How do I know the partner placed the link to my site?

They paste the URL of the page where they placed it, and Swappsy's crawler opens that page right away. It checks that the link points to the page you agreed, with the agreed anchor text and rel, and that Google can index the page. Until then the link shows as Pending, and the crawler looks for it every day up to the deadline. The deal completes only when both links are found.

What happens if a partner removes the link to my site?

Links from deals are checked every day, so you'll know within a day. You get an email, the link shows as lost, and you can message the partner from the deal. If it was removed within 90 days, the partner loses 20 points and gets a strike, and 3 strikes hide them from partner search for 30 days. The removal also lowers their links still live figure, which every future partner sees.

What if a partner misses the deadline?

They get a reminder 3 days before it. Once it passes, the deal is overdue and they lose 10 points, and anyone with 2 or more overdue deals can't send new requests until they catch up. If the link still isn't live 3 days after the deadline, you can close the deal as not delivered, and that shows on their profile.

Is it free?

Yes. Swappsy is free to use, with no credit card: finding partners, running deals and monitoring the links all cost nothing. Points can't be bought either. You earn them by completing deals on time, and they raise how many posts you can have open, from 5 up to 20. Paid plans only raise the limits for teams with many sites. In the marketplace you pay the seller directly for a placement; Swappsy takes no fee.
