At Swappsy, we value transparency. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your responsibilities when using our platform.
By using Swappsy, you agree to this Privacy Policy and allow us to handle your information as described below. If you do not agree, please stop using our platform.
1.Information We Collect
When you use Swappsy, we may collect:
- Name, email, phone number
- Website details and company name
- Information you add to your profile or posts
- Activity data such as logins, posts, and interactions
- Messages you send to other members on deals and orders
- Basic technical information (IP address, browser type, device type)
- If you sign in with Google: your name, email address and profile picture from your Google account
- If you connect Google Search Console: the list of sites in your Search Console account, your permission level on each, and their search clicks and top country (see section 4)
- If you connect Google Analytics: the list of your Analytics properties and their website addresses, and each matching site's number of users for the last 28 days (see section 4)
- Backlinks you add or import, and what our crawler finds when it checks those pages
- If you send an advertising inquiry: your name, email address, website, the page you want promoted, your brief, budget range and message, the status of the inquiry and our decision, and the IP address the form was sent from. We use them to reply to you and to decide whether and how to work together. We keep an inquiry for 24 months after it was sent, then delete it
- If you sell placements: the payment details you save for buyers (for example a PayPal email or Wise details)
- If you buy a paid plan: your plan and billing status. Card details are handled by our payment provider and never reach Swappsy
2.How We Use Your Information
We use your information for:
- Operating and improving Swappsy services
- Sending account, product, and support updates
- Contacting you about your account, requests, or opportunities
- Sharing relevant platform announcements when permitted
- Security, troubleshooting, and preventing misuse of our platform
- When a deal or order is reported, or to look into fraud or misuse, Swappsy staff may read the messages and links on that deal or order
We do not sell personal information.
4.Google Account, Search Console and Analytics Data
Signing in with Google and connecting Google Search Console or Google Analytics are optional. When you use them:
- Sign-in gives us your name, email address and profile picture. We use them to create and identify your account.
- Connecting Search Console gives us read-only access. We read which sites you own or fully manage, and each site's total clicks for the last 28 days and its top country. We cannot change anything in your Search Console account.
- Connecting Google Analytics gives us read-only access. We read which Analytics properties you can see and the website address of each, so we can match them to the sites you verified on Swappsy. For each matching site we read one number: its total users for the last 28 days. We cannot change anything in your Google Analytics account.
- We use this data only to confirm that a site is yours and to show its traffic in Swappsy. Google Analytics never verifies a site; it only adds a visitor count to a site you already verified. Other members see clicks and visitors as a range; on public pages the number is hidden, unless you choose otherwise in your site's settings.
- We store the access token Google issues so the figures can be refreshed about once a day. We do not store your search queries, page-level data or any other Analytics reports.
- We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models, and no person at Swappsy reads it except to fix a problem you reported, for security, or when the law requires it.
- You can disconnect at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Write to us to have the stored data deleted.
Swappsy's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
5.User Responsibilities
- Do not post or share sensitive information (e.g., financial, personal IDs) in posts, messages or your profile. Payment details belong only in the payment details form
- Information you share on Swappsy may be visible to other users
- You are fully responsible for what you share and its consequences
6.Data Retention
We may keep your information as long as needed for operational, business, or legal purposes. If you close your account, some information may still remain in our records.
Advertising inquiries are kept for 24 months after they were sent, then deleted.
8.Data Security
We take basic precautions to safeguard your information. However, no system is 100% secure. You use Swappsy and share your information at your own risk.
9.Your Privacy Choices
You may contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or help with your personal information. We will review privacy requests and respond as required by applicable law.
10.Third-Party Links
Swappsy may contain links shared by users. We are not responsible for content, security, or practices of third-party websites.
11.Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy anytime without prior notice. Continued use of Swappsy means you accept the updated policy.
